Here's a step-by-step build of the layout. if you have any questions, please let me know.
I have started laying out how this year's loop is going to look like under the tree. I am calling it the village of Hickory Creek, NY. That's Sal's Pizza across from Central Station, on the corner of Railroad St. and Broad St. (like Utica?). The Coffee Grounds is next store, and down Broad is My Families Nuts. i heard the weather forecast for tonight is snow, so we'll see what happens. I also have to paint the sidewalks with concrete-colored textured spray paint.
I will update the pictures based on the progress, but the overall design is done...
How's yours coming?
The streets are laid, concrete is poured... and the snow has fallen. The last one is the test of the snow fall.
SNOW!
OK... It's all up and running!
BTW... The NYC FLyer 0-8-0 (w/ Trainsounds) just doesn't have the umph to pull the full train of 9 cars... Even with traction tires. It spins in some spots, so I've been double heading it with another Trainsounds equipped NYC Flyer engine (the 4-4-2).
But the big WBB H24-66 pulls it just fine...
People and trees!
Thanks,
Mario
